This thing blows... COLD!! July 31, 2009 Chuck Di Prima (Far Nor Cal) 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
After puchasing 3 like A/C units, trying them out, then returning them... I found the DeLonghi. I was reluctant to purchase it due to the fact that it was much more expensive than the rest AND from a company I had never heard of! The salesperson at Lowes explained to me that several other people like myself had done the same thing I was doing (Purchased cheapies then returned em') to then spring for the DeLonghi. To his knowledge, he said, none of those customers returned the DeLonghi. So, I was sold. Anywho, After my first outrageous power bill #I ran the thing day and night, don't do that!! Oh was it great though, to be snuggled in blankets when its 115 outside...# I learned to use this A/C in moderation. Keeps the master bed, bath and hallway at 74 degrees, 115+ outside...
Portable comfort August 9, 2010 KC ( New York, NY) This was the first time that I've been able to afford an A/C & it's electrical cost. I spent a lot of time researching different websites, prices and A/C products. I finally decided on the Delonghi PAC with Amazon because the price was right and the no shipping & handling cost was exactly what I was looking for. I must say that the Delonghi is an exceptional air conditioner. I don't find it loud, it was bigger than I expected but that doesn't matter since you have to keep it near the window anyway. As for the cooling capabilities, it's fabulous! It cools my livingroom well when I need it to be in there , my bedroom (10'x 15')and if I leave my bedroom door open it also cools the small hallway & my daughter's bedroom across from me. I am very pleased with this product.

Baby it's ICE COLD inside! July 11, 2008 V. LEWIS (NEW YORK, NY United States) 29 out of 34 found this review helpful
DeLonghi PAC A120E was easy to set-up, because it included EVERYTHING!
I am just loving it. Comming home from work to a nice COOL place. Who could ask for anything more. I have not seen my Electric Bill yet, so I will only give it four stars.
*****update - I just got my Con Edison bill in the amount of $299.89! I was in a little bit of a shock (my normal bill is $115ish). I guess i will have to cut down on usage. I have all the lastest energy saving devises(cfl light blubs) etc., and I have to find more ways to save on my Con Ed bill. Keeping cool this summer for me is a must!
Note: Con Edison did get a rate increase recently, so some of the cost is because of that.
Like it well enough to buy another April 13, 2010 M. Guenther 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Purchased this unit 1-1/2 years ago, along with a 3-year service plan from NEW Customer Service for $29.99. The unit never leaked. Recently it stopped working, displaying "PF" (probe failure according to the manual). The repair shop designated by NEW warranties didn't want to fix it so NEW sent a refund totaling the original purchase price.
We just purchased another PAC A120E. Amazon sent it to us via 2-day FedEx, just like before. The previous unit ran like a trooper for 1-1/2 years. If you buy this unit, strongly consider buying the warranty.
DeLonghi PAC A120E 12,000-BTU Eco-Friendly Portable Air Conditioner July 29, 2010 CHIMS181514 Great AC. It does a great job at cooling the room. As of yet I haven't had any issues with leakage.
